Responsible Research and Innovation - why should we start thinking about it?

This 2-part presentation starts with an easy intro to Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and putting RRI in the context of NFR and Horizon2020 proposal writing (30 min) followed by discussion Q/A and RRI exercises for moe in-depth exposure.

Biography: Dorothy Dankel is currently the RRI coordinator and research in the NFR BIOTEK2021 project, dCod1.0: Decoding systems toxicology of cod" (www.dcod.no) in the Centre for Digital Life Norway and the VIRGIN SALMON project at the Institute of Marine Research. In addition, she is the "RRI Champion" coordinator and researcher in the newly funded iFISHienci H2020 project on aquaculture technology. She earned her double competency in fisheries biology and management and ethical, legal and societal aspects of research and technology during her employment at the Institute of Marine Research (2006-2014) and the Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities at the University of Bergen (2010-2016). She has been a research fellow abroad at the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria and the School of Marine Science and Technology, University of Massachusetts in the USA.
